Itinerary:
We extended the popular 2.7 mile PATH Foundation sidewalk loop to include 3 bridle path loops to bring our total of 4.5 miles with 443 foot of elevation gain.

Our moving time will be 1 hour and 40 minutes at an average speed of 2.8 mph.

Here is a link for the route map:

The park is the largest park acreage for the City of Atlanta and is dominated by 18-hole North Fulton golf course which will provide multiple long fairway views as we hike the golf course perimeter.

                 Dogs are welcome.

Meeting place

We will meet at the "storm shelter"(a small covered bus stop-like area) at the north end of the Red Parking lot.  This location is next to the Amphitheater and in front of the covered horse practice facility so it should be easy for everyone to locate.

Plan to meet a few minutes early for our socially distanced circle of hikers for hiker introductions.  We wll leave promptly at 9:30am.  If you are running late, come anyway and hike on your own.  It is difficult to get lost here.

There is no restroom in the Red lot but there will be a restroom stop 0.5 miles into the hike and a portolet 2/3 through the hike.

Required Items to Bring:

PLENTY OF WATER TO STAY HYDRATED!!!!  comfortable clothes and shoes, and a smile  : )

Half of the hike will have full sun exposure so consider wearing sunshade.

2.7 miles will be concrete sidewalk.  The bridle paths are not too rooty or slippery.  I suggest wearing cushioned sidewalk running shoes over wearing trail shoes if you have them.

Masks are not required but we will strive for social distancing and focus the hike on the widest walks and least used trails.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
