Itinerary:
With all the recent rains, the waterfalls should all be looking very impressive.  We'll see if we can make it to them and check it out.

We will begin by driving to Toccoa GA and seeing Toccoa Falls...this is on the campus of a college and not much of a hike, but it is just 8 miles off our route up north, so we'll include it.

Then we will drive to four falls near Lake Rabun....Angel Falls, Panther Falls, Minnehaha Falls, and Bad Branch Falls.  All of thse are very short hikes...Angel/Panther Falls is a couple of miles round trip.  The others are less than 1/2 mile.

After those first five, it is not a long drive to the Panther Creek trailhead.   We will be hiking to Panther Creek Falls and then will have a long lunch break there and head back....just about 7 miles round trip.

The trail is mostly easy without a lot of elevation change....there are a couple of steep portions, but they are very short.

This is usually a D3 hike, but I'm listing it as a D4 because I'm not sure what kind of shape the trail is in...could be extra muddy and a bit slippery.  Hiking poles are highly recommended because of the terrain.

Also note: I believe there is a $3 per car parking fee at the trailhead and maybe another one at the Angel/Panther parking so $6 per vehicle for parking should cover it.

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $84.40 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Notes:

Parking fees of approx $6 per vehicle.
