Itinerary:

This is an in-and-out hike on the Appalachian Trail from Dicks Creek Gap to Bly Gap, the border between GA and NC. Views at Bly Gap include the western North Carolina mountains, and other views on the way include Standing Indian and Hightower Bald. The trail follows the crest of the Blue Ridge, with high points of As Knob, Buzzard Knob and Little Bald Knob.

Pace will be brisk and we will take a few short breaks along the way and a longer break at Bly Gap at the landmark gnarled tree. Once the front leader is on the way back, if you did not get to Bly Gap you will need to turn around and go back with the group.

Dogs must be on leash at all times and not interfere with other hikers or dogs.
