We will start from the parking lot and head down the Foothill's Trail to the Chattooga River Trail. We'll turn left and head down a little ways to check out Pigpen Falls and Licklog Falls. We'll turn around and being our trek along the Chattooga Trail which is a moderate to flat trail that runs along the Chattooga River. We'll find an open campsite along the river, set up camp, and then dayhike up to beautiful Big Bend Falls and back.

This is designed to be a mellow trip with plenty of play time. If you wish to decline the dayhike, you're welcome to stay at camp and read or hang out and laugh at EB (who plans to bring her fishing "stuff" to make an attempt at shore fishing). Assuming we can get permits, you're welcome to join her in her quest to catch her own dinner. Be sure to bring a backup dinner, and know that you are responsible for whatever you catch :-)
