Itinerary:
If April showers bring May flowers then September showers and more showers and even more showers brings massive, noisy, powerful waterfalls!  And I intend to see them!

I've hiked the trails of Cloudland Canyon many times but haven't been on the Sitton's Gulch Loop Trail.  This is a new trail and takes you down the infamous staircase and then along Daniel Creek.

The loop is 6.5 miles with 600' of elevaton change heading into the valley and of course, 600' on the return.  If your knees or back ache after a normal hike DON'T GO ON THIS TRIP, it is DIFFICULT.

I'll probably eat my lunch while viewing the waterfall.

Plan on a two hour car ride up to Chattanooga, and across I24, arriving via "the back side" of the mountain due to road closures in the area.  If you wish to meet us at the park, meet in the main parking lot and look for me, I'll be in my trademark hat - see my pic on the trip leader page.

Based on the difficulty rating, please be advised this is not to scare you, this is a very difficult hike.

Also, be on time.

The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Notes:
I'm planning to do this trip rain or shine.
