Itinerary:

Join me on this Sunday afternoon as we continue the Park & Play Series with a casual hike around Chastain Park.  There are approximately 4 miles of trails that border this area.

We will meet at the storm shelter at the north end of the Red Parking lot.  This is next to the Amphitheater so it should be easy for everyone to locate.

We'll start our hike on the east side of the park following the entire length of the park and crossing Nancy Creek.  There will be points of interest along the way and hopefully nice fall weather as well!  Chastain Park is Fulton County's largest public park.  You may have attended a concert at this location before, but there are other events held here as well.

On this particular day, the first ever Chastain Park Arts Festival will be held.  You may stay after our hike and enjoy this free event.  Just be sure to abide by their rules of conduct listed below in the additional notes section.

There will be painters, sculptors, crafts, entertainment, and food and beverage for all.  The trip leader plans to purchase food and water for a little picnic as all proceeds benefit local parks.  I hope everyone will join me for a beautiful day in Chastain!
