Itinerary:

The plan is to take as much river scenery as we can.

We will head to the river along the left side of the park if looking from the parking lot.

We will hike the full length of the riverside trail and then turnaround and hike it again in reverse.

We will spend any leftover time hiking the longer trail along the ridge crest and then turnaround.

The pace will not be fast but please do not register if you tend to have trouble staying with a D2 group.

This unit has no restrooms.

Here is the Google Maps link:

Google labels the pinpoint as the Gold Branch Trail

The park entrance is directly across the street from the Ashforde subdivision and easy to drive past.

Notes:

Weather conditions:  partly cloudy, 10% rain chance, 6mph winds, 58 degrees

Trail conditions:  the riverside trail is known for its slopes against the hillside, its roots, and its rocks.

There is no rain for the preceding days in the forecast so the trail should be dry but we may still have leaves falling which can make the trail difficult.
