Itinerary:

Russ will be leading his fast this morning from the Roswell Mill side of the park;  we'll start this moderately paced hike starting at Riverside Park.  (If you want to push the pace, please register for Russ's hike!)  This starting point offers lots of free parking spaces plus bathrooms!

We'll cross Riverside Road and hike up a neighborhood hill into Vickery Creek, a park that offers a variety of trails and routes, beautiful views of the water along the creeks and at the dam, and occasional glimpses of wildlife.  We'll keep a moderate pace with pauses for water along the way.

The trails at Vickery Creek are not easy.  There are several hills as well as trails with lots of roots and rocks that would prove very challenging for inexperienced hikers. If you have no record with the AOC, I will email you to make sure you aren't getting in over your head on your first event!

Hiking poles are recommended, especially after recent rains!

Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to use the bathroom, check in, and do intros.

The AOC is following CDC guidelines, so please keep a mask in your pocket in case we pass people on the trails and can't keep 6 feet apart.
