100% pavement; no dirt trails

no roots, no rocks, no mud, no tree falls, no sticks, no stairs, no water crossings

In sum, this hike will be a fast Urban D3 with more elevation gain than a typical urban hike.  On the other hand, it will be a little shorter on mileage.  We are doing 2 loops of our route to acheive our stats.

The park is the largest park acreage for the City of Atlanta and is dominated by 18 - hole North Fulton golf course which will provide multiple long fairway views as we hike the golf course perimeter.

                 Dogs are welcome.

Meeting place

We will meet at the "storm shelter"(a small covered bus stop-like area) at the north end of the Red Parking lot.  This location is next to the Amphitheater and in front of the covered horse practice facility so it should be easy for everyone to locate.

Plan to meet a few minutes early for our socially distanced circle of hikers for hiker introductions.  We wll depart on time and leave promptly.

There is no restroom in the Red lot but there will be a restroom stop 0.5 miles into the hike, a portolet 2/3 through the hike and restrooms near the end of the hike.
