Itinerary:
In October 2008 we camped and spun our way around the trails near Clemson. This year we'll ride Issaqueena Lake Mountain Bike Trails again, on Saturday and hit Paris Mountain in Greenville on Sunday.

Rides:

The Clemson trail is mostly singletrack, easy (for advanced riders but fun), fast and flowing much like local Atlanta trails Blanket's Creek, Yellow River and Chicopee. This trail IS NOT Pisgah (not technical, not hilly).

On Sunday we'll hit Paris Mtn.  This trail system has beginner, intermediate and advanced sections.  We'll ride all of it and then double back to hit the best parts before returning to Atlanta!

Campground
The campground has showers - typical car camping.  Our sites are awesome, on a point so we'll see a beautiful sunset!

News you should know

The Univeristy is close by so we'll grab good yet inexpensive drinks and dinner Friday and Sat night. NO COOKING REQUIRED but you may.

The gates close at 10:00PM. We'll leave a car or two near the entrance (on the inside) in order to go out and get grub Friday night.  I'll provide my cell # in the event you'll arrive after hours.

SKILL LEVEL

How do you determine your ability?  Well, for this group, we'll ride about 15 miles or two hours each day.  Stronger riders will likely take another lap or ride for another hour.  You should have ample skills and be able to ride 10-20 miles.  If you feel one lap and/or one hour at a local trial (Blanket's, Big Creek or Chicopee) are difficult and/or you are physically taxed riding for less than an hour, you likely won't be able to keep up with the pack.  You are welcome to attend, but this will not be a group that stops, collects (sits around for the back of the pack to catch-up) and then takes off again.

If you are a slower rider and don't mind riding alone, feel intimidated or don't want to slow the fast riders, you may attend.  That's cool and all!

I do, however, wish to make it clear that we are coming to ride and not conduct a skills clinic.

One last item, if you don't want to camp but want to make it up for a day of riding, email me.

The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
