Itinerary:

Let's get our hearts pumping with a mid-morning hike at Kennesaw Mountain.  We'll start at the Visitor Center and go over Big and Little Kennesaw to Burnt Hickory, and then back again for a total of 6.25 miles.  The Summit of Kennesaw Mountain is 1808 ft.

This is a challenging hike with a lot of hills, so we may get spread out. I plan to maintain an average pace of 2.5 MPH with a few stops for water/snacks.  You can go at your own pace if you know the trail.

Please arrive 15 minutes early for introductions and to use the facilities.  If you park at the overflow parking lot on Old HWY 41, you'll need additional 10 minutes to walk from there to the Visitor Center.

< Entrance Fee >

Kennesaw Mountain has implemented a new cashless entrance fee program, applicable at all parking lots.  Entrance fees are: $5 daily, $40 annual. You can also use a National Park Service annual or America the Beautiful pass.

You can also purchase a pass at the visitors center or online at:  recreation.gov

Please have a mask on hand to wear if social distancing is not possible.
