Hello,
The drive to Summer Town Tennesse is about 5 Hours. We will tour the Shitake log facicility, and we can purchase Fresh Shitake Mushrooms for $8.0 per pound. After the tour , we will drive to Whispering Pines for moderate 7 mile hike. Whispering Pines is a quiet, intimate lakefront central Tennessee community centered around an 19 acre private spring-fed lake. This peaceful country neighborhood appeals to nature lovers with abundant wildlife including deer and wild turkeys roaming freely- a true nature retreat set in the rolling hills of central Tennessee.

Required Items to Bring:
THINGS TO BRING or WEAR: o 3 liters fresh water o hiking boots / trail shoes o non-cotton cloths in layers o poncho (just in case…) o Nuts & Berries and lunch o cash for gas (for your carpool driver) $ 8.00 o towel to sit on for the ride back / paper sack for mucky boots

Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $240.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
