Itinerary:

We will go at a steady, moderate pace, with some stops. This is an in and out hike with a total distance of  approximately 11 miles and vertical rise of about 2,000 feet, We will be hiking east on the Appalachian Trail from Tesnatee Gap to Low Gap. The hike includes several climbs and descents with a scenic view of Towns Creek Valley and the Georgia piedmont from the top of Wildcat Mountain.  Wildcat Mountain has a rocky summit similar to Blood Mountain.  There is a shelter at Low Gap which will be our lunch spot. 

Please bring a mask along for when you are unable to social distance.  You will not be required to wear one while hiking.

Please meet directly at the trailhead by 8:20AM.  You can use google maps directions with the destination being Tesnatee Gap.

2 liters or quarts of water
Trail food/lunch
Hiking boots or shoes

Trekking poles

Bug Spray

Change of shoes and shirt for drive back

Emergency rain gear (even if it is clear day with a 20 percent chance of rain)
