Itinerary:

This will be a multi-day event, however, you will register for each day independently, depending upon how many days you want to participate.

This paddle is part of the Park Paddlers club

The “pond” has 3 water trails: the more primitive but potentially more difficult to navigate Blue trail, the Yellow trail along a developed shoreline, or a Red Trail that goes straight up the middle. The trip leaders reserve the right to meander between trees and trails and choose the way when we arrive, based on everyone’s experience and comfort level and the water as we find it.  This is a flat-water paddle and is fine for beginners.  While we have never seen any, there is a possibility of alligators so no dogs will be allowed on this paddle.  We will begin paddling at 11am and will have lunch in our boats on the water.

Due to limited availability, if you plan to rent a kayak, please call the park office prior to arrival to reserve it in advance. There are accommodations at the park including camping and cottage rentals that you are welcome to take advantage of, but are not part of the event.  Your trip leaders will be staying in a cottage at the park and plan to organize group dinners if anyone wishes to participate.

Bring $5 cash for parking, or a State Park Pass. Tip: you can often check out State Park Passes from your local library!

* We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines while participating in AOC events.

Cost Includes:

No cost to attend/participate but parking is $5 unless you have a State Park Pass, so plan accordingly and/or bring cash.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:   Please review the AOC cancellation policy.
*Note:

This event will be rain or shine unless severe thunderstorms are likely. If you sign up for the event, but then determine that you are unable to attend after all, please remove yourself as soon as possible to allow others to participate instead. If the deadline for registration has passed, let one or both of your Trip Leaders know and we can remove you ourselves.

As always, if you register and then fail to show up at all, you will be marked a "No Show." No partial attendance will be possible since we will be paddling different areas of the lake and trails in no particular order. Therefore, if you are not there to join us at the beginning of the event, you will also be considered a "No Show," even if you show up afterwards.
