Itinerary:

Revised to a city walk of 7.7 miles.

 

Heading west to east, let's walk from Grady Road, mile marker 45.8 to Rockmart mile marker 37.6, and then back.  Plus the walk to lunch :)  Total mileage 16.5

Pace is close to 3.0 mph.

Hard surface and generally flat.  

Trailhead does not have restrooms.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:
  • Directions - Overview

    • Grady Road trailhead is between Rockmart and Cedartown. It's near the community of Fish Creek in Polk County, Georgia
    • Hwy-278 is northwest of Atlanta, and runs east to west towards Alabama

    Directions

    • Note: Highway-278 mile markers start over in every county
    • Go between MILE MARKERS 16-17 ON HWY-278 in Polk County
    • GRADY RD is:
      • On the east-bound lane of Hwy-278
      • 1.4 miles, or 3rd road west of Cowboys gas station/convenience store*
    • TURN ON GRADY RD and you'll pass over the railroad tracks
    • GRADY RD TRAILHEAD WILL BE NEXT TO THE TRACKS

    *Cowboys is on the east-bound lane of Hwy-278, near mile marker 18, at the intersection of Hwy-278/Bethlehem Rd/Barber Rd
