Itinerary:

Join us on an AT adventure to Tray Mountain.

We will be starting at Unicoi Gap and take the AT over Rocky Mountain and Tray Mountain. At the top of Tray we will stop for lunch at the "not so secret" overlook. There is a beautiful view here for us to enjoy! On the way back, we will start on the AT, retracing our steps until we intersect with Indian Grave Gap Road. We will do a road walk for about a half mile where we will meet the Rocky Mountain Trail. This trail will take us back to the AT and our cars.

We will be moving close to 3 mph, this is very close to being a FAST hike, so only those with recent D5 experience and are comfortable with a quick pace will be allowed on the event.

If you are not in the carpool, please arrive at the trailhead by 9am. It is unlikely that there will be cell service at the trailhead, if you are late you will only see boot prints!

Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $58.40 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
