Itinerary:

Come join your AOC friends for a hike at Island Ford. It has varied surfaces, of root, rock and incline.  The views of the Chattahoochee River will make it worth every minute. We may even catch some wildlife around the river.

We will start at the Visitors Center and hike along the river and zig zag thru the woods for at least 5 to 5.5 miles.  We will be mindful of the heat and take water and picture breaks as needed.  This is not a beginner hike.

Please arrive at 9:50am for introductions.

It is $5 to park, you can either pay with your phone; or use your annual pass.  They sell the pass at the Visitors Center.  Rest rooms are at the Center.
