I plan on hiking the Red Trail in a clockwise direction with stops at the various monuments we pass. There are 45 miles of trails through this park. We will be hiking 7.75 miles of these trails.

I hiked this by myself in August of 2019 and had planned on doing this event in 2020. Due to the pandemic, I never did it.

Required Items to Bring:

Wear comfortable Clothing Layers and rugged Hiking Boots or Shoes appropriate for the weather - also, showers are forecast bring light emergency rain gear.

Hydrate well prior to the event and we suggest carrying about a liter of Water to drink along the way and perhaps a piece of fruit or other light snack.

From I75 & I285 go north for 92 miles

Take exit 350 to Ft Oglethorpe for 0.3 miles

Turn left onto Battlefield Parkway for 0.2 miles

Keep right to continue on GA-2 W/Battlefield Pkwy for 1 mile

Turn left onto Three Notch Rd for 0.3 miles

Turn right onto Boynton Dr for 2.5 miles

Continue onto Reeds Bridge Rd for 3 miles

Turn left onto Lafayette Rd for 446 feet

Remember the $5 cash for a daily parking pass - OR if you have the annual CRNRA pass just display in your vehicle and you are good to go.
