Itinerary:

We will walk portions of the  blue, yellow and red trail sections. They will take us along steep slopes overlooking the Etowah River, Allatoona Dam, and Allatoona Lake. We may encounter hawk, fox, or deer and see wild grapevines, poplar trees and azalea bushes. Vineyard Mountain Trail was developed as an Eagle Scout service project.

Water and good walking shoes.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

From Atlanta go to I-75 Exit 285. Drive about 1 mile east on Red Top Mountain Rd. The parking lot is on the left, right before the bridge over Lake Allatona. Since the parking lot is small, arriving early is recommended.

* We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines while participating in AOC events.

This parking lot is outside the state park, and as far as I can tell, parking is free.
