Itinerary:

Join me on a fun day hike!
We will start at the top of the falls and take the AT Approach trail to Springer Mountain. The Approach trail makes for a great long rewarding day hike. We may run into campers or even backpackers section hiking the AT.
There are hardly any views on Frosty Mountain but a steady climb until mile 4.5 where we approach the sign for the Hike Inn. We will hike an additional 3.5 miles going down Nimblewill gap and then Springer Mountain where we will stop for lunch. There will be stops for water breaks and a longer stop for lunch. After lunch we will return the same way, stopping briefly at the Hike Inn and continue down the Len Foote Trail to the parking lot at the top of the Falls.
Pls note that there is NO CARPOOL for this event.
$5 parking fee applies unless you have a Georgia State Parks annual pass.
This is a difficult D5 hike with approx. 3500ft elevation gain. Recent D5 or D6 experience is required as we will maintain a pace of 2.7 mph.
