Itinerary:

The flow rates are kinda CRAZY so we're GOING WITH THE FLOW today. This self-shuttle paddle will be from Island Ford's Boat Ramp down to the Dam at Morgan Falls Park.

We'll be doing a bit of exploring along the way to shake things up a bit so it's 9 solid miles. Lotsa cool areas open up in bigger waters.

Self-Shuttling is enforced so bring a "yak-buddy!" Drop the take out car at Morgan Falls lot in Sandy Springs and roll out toward IF at 09:30 (the play ground area, next to High Country O'fitters Paddle Shack).  Island Ford's lot nearest the dirt field that leads to the boat ramp is pretty long and muddy...actually both locations have LONG distances for carrying a boat, be prepared for that too. ...especially at MF's it may be muddy, flooded and you will be spent! We'll also be traveling over the shoals in water that has been moving at excess of 8,000+ cf/s so this isn't necessarily a beginners paddle event at all..fast water, cold water, dirty water, muddy finishing conditions require a bit of experience, so if you don't have a lot and I have not paddled with you before - expect a call from me before I allow you to come out.

Optional Lunch at North River Tavern post event. ;)
