Note: This is an "EXPLORATORY" trip. This means that there are parts of this trip, or perhaps the whole trip, that is new to your Trip Leader(s). However, they are confident that this will not be an issue.
This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

After hiking the Laurel Ridge Hike (separate event), we will move up to HWY 20 and do an explortaory hike along the Hooch both south to the creek  and north to Richland Creek. Based on All Trails, I am estimating the hike to be 4 miles +/-, however I have not done this particular hike before. This is not a designated trail and there are no offical distance marks (that I am aware of). This hike is listed separately so you can sign up for this event separately form the Laurel Ridge hike or both.

The parking lot is located on the Southside of Hwy 20 just East of the Chattahoochee. If traveling East it will be on your right directly after crossing the bridge. It is a small 16 space parking lot and there are no facilities at the site. If you are traveling West on Hwy 20, you will have to make a U turn at James Burgess to get to the parking lot.
