Itinerary:

Join me Feb. 10th at 10:00a.m. for a brisk hike at Island Ford.  We will meet at the first parking lot on the left after you enter the park.  THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER HIKE.  I expect to hike at a 2.7-3.0 pace and I love hills.

Island Ford is the HQ of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, (CRNRA).  There is a $5.00 daily parking fee or you can purchase an annual pass. You must use your smartphone to purchase the pass.  Please arrive 10 minutes before our 10:00am departure.  I plan on starting right at 10:00am.  Island Ford has some rough terrain and great views of the river. It’s a beautiful spot so close to the huste and bustle of Sandy Springs.  It is a real oasis.

Up to 3 mellow dogs are welcome but they must be leashed at all times. Willeo Road may be closed so allow extra time to get there.  Hope to see you there.  I am filling in for Joyce. I'm sure she will pick up the hike in future weeks.
