Itinerary:
Elevation gain is 1270', distance is 11.3 miles

We will start at Burnt Hickory and go towards Noses Creek, we will will completing a number of loops all the way out to Kolb Farm.  On our return we will take New Salem Church to Brumby and turn left towards Pidgeon Hill, with a finish down the hill to the cars.

This is an excellent hike for strong D3's to get into a beginner D4.  (D4 elevation is 1500', distance roughly 8 to 10 miles)  This hike goes over the distance and nears the elevation gain (approved by Director of Events - thanks Aaron), making it an 'easy' (easy ain't always easy) D4.

You MUST have a some strong D3's to be qualified for this event.

We will hike at an overall pace of around 2.7mph.   If you are unfamiliar with hiking this distance - this might not be for you.

We will make brief (very brief) stops for water and snacks.  There will be a lead and sweep on this event.  You won't get lost, but you should be able to maintain this pace.

Don't forget your park pass!!!
