Itinerary:

We will start at the Hewlett Lodge Visitor's Center  The Visitor's Center is located all the way down the entrance road to the very end which is about one mile from the entrance off Roberts Drive.  We will start out on the trail behind the Visitor's Center along the river.  We will continue to do the lollipop trail.  We will return by retracing our steps on the trails.  We might take a little detour to see alternate sections of the trails, yet not adding any additional mileage to our hike.

Bathrooms are available at the Visitor's Center.  Allow extra time before the hike if you plan to use the restroom.

Hewlett Lodge Parking Lot

From Atlanta, travel north on Highway 400 to Northridge Road - Exit 6.

As you exit, remain in the right lane and cross the highway bridge.

Turn right (north) at the first traffic light to Dunwoody Place.

Continue north for 0.6 mile and turn right (east) on Roberts Drive.

Go for 0.7 mile, crossing beneath Highway 400 to Island Ford Parkway.

Turn right (north).


Notes:

Restrooms are available at the Visitor's Center which is at the end of Island Ford Parkway.

* We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines while participating in AOC events.

Cost Includes:

$5 Parking Pass is Required at this location.  If you need to purchase a pass, please arrive a little early in order to get and put into your car before the hike.   The hike begins promptly at 11 am.
