Itinerary:

The Art Loeb Trail is a challenging and beautiful 30 mile trail in the Pisgah National Forest.  The trail offers spectacular views and difficult terrains with sections of the trail popular for day hikes.

The trail serves as a memorial to Art Loeb, a former industrialist and activist from the Carolina Mountain Club, and a man who "deeply loved these mountains."

On the last day, we will add a side trip to Cold Mountain, made famous from the book and movie "Cold Mountain" for an additional 3 miles and 1,000."

One dog in addition to the Trip Leaders Lab, Zeus, will be permitted on the trip so scare away any potential bears.

If registering for this hike, please careful evaluate your plans to minimize last minute cancellations as the shuttle limits the maximum number of participants (including dogs) to 6, and last minute replacements may not be available.

Shuttle Cost:  $150 for the first two people, and $10 for each additional person.  Cost will be split by the number of participants and dogs.  The group size may fluxuate by one or so based on the number of participants and dogs to accomodate the shuttle. Minimum shuttle cost will $38(including tip) per space if the maximum of 6 sign up.
