Itinerary:

Ralph and I are subbing for Grant on this hike - he's okay, just pulled a muscle.

This is a great local hike that gives quite a workout!  It is a very beautiful area.  On this hike, we see grand rock outcroppings, an overlook of the surrounding countryside, and Lake Allatoona.  You can see in the hike plan below where we will be doing 1600 feet of elevation gain as we go over Pine MNT a few times.  We will be venturing down an unmarked trail that starts near the summit and ends up at the river.  On this section, it gets a little steep as we travel downhill.  We are meeting at the West trailhead parking lot directly off the I-75 exit, not the East trailhead.  Plan to bring a lunch and we will eat at the Corp of Engineers Allatoona Dam overlook, a very pretty spot.  Hope to see you!
