  • About 2.4 miles at a leisurely pace (appox. 2.1 mph)
  • Less than 200 feet of total ascent
  • Possible muddy areas (especially after recent rain)
  • An on-time start at 6:00PM (please arrive 10-15 minutes early)

We'll meet at the Pay Station at the end of the parking lot (See below for driving and parking instructions). The majority of the hike is along the river..

We'll continue hiking through the dense forest eventually making a loop to head back toward the river.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

Address: 9065 Barnwell Road, Johns Creek, GA 30022

The entrance to the park is off of Barnwell Road.  If you are coming from Holcomb Bridge Road you will first pass another entrance for the Chattahoochee River Environmental Education Center--do not turn here.  The entrance to the park is about a mile up the road.  You will skirt a new traffic circle and the entrance will be less than 1,000 feet ahead on the right.

The road into the park is long and winding.  Stay on the road until the very end - it dead ends into the parking lot.

There is a fee to park here - see Additional Notes for more details.

Notes:

PARKING FEE

There is a fee to park here unless you have an annual pass.  To pre-purchase parking for one day ($5) or an annual pass ($40) go here: https://www.recreation.gov/sitepass/2626

You can also use a credit card at the pay station in the parking lot.

If you have an America the Beautiful pass that is also good for this park.
