Itinerary:

Starting at the visitor's center, we will then take several different paths around the park, including the white, red, yellow, orange and brown trails for about 9 miles (could be slightly more or slightly less) and which should take us about 3 1/2 hours (could also be slightly more or slightly less). Total elevation for the hike will be around 1,000 feet.

When we get to it, the red trail (my favorite part of the hike) is very rocky with ups and downs. It has a great rapid near the end where we wil take a moment to appreciate it and regroup for the white trail portion of the hike.   Throughout the hike, we will pass ruins of the New Manchester Mill, hike up to some ridges, and pass thru some hardwood forests.

Don't forget there is a $5 parking fee unless you have an annual GA state parks pass.  There is a kiosk in the parking lot.
