Itinerary: | |||||||
We will head out from the canoe/kayak launch at Rope Mill Park and paddle down Little River to Lake Allatoona. We will see turtles. I promise. :-) If we are lucky, we may see a deer and we are likely to see Great Blue Herons. Our first destination is Toonigh Creek Falls. We will explore the falls, then head out to a narrow passage where we will land on a point with a white sand beach. Here we will take another break and maybe a dip in the cold deep water. Next, we will paddle back to the landing at Rope Mill. Here is the route that we plan to paddle:

Parking is free and there is a bathroom available on site. Do not leave valuables in your car. If you don't have a kayak, then I have an Old Town 9-foot kayak and paddle that you can borrow. Just contact Mark Bowden.
