Itinerary:

Get your early fitness hike in and be back home before noon.

We will start promptly at 8:00 AM at the visitor center with introductions and last chance for restroom breaks. If you are unable to find a parking spot at the visitor center there is an overflow lot on Old Hwy 41 about a 5 minute walk away.  Please allow time to park in the overflow lot if needed.

We will hike over all three peaks (Big Kennesaw, Little Kennesaw, and Pigeon Hill) to Burnt Hickory Rd. regrouping at trail intersections as needed.  After crossing Burnt Hickory we will take the Brumby Camp Trail around the mountain back to the visitor center.

We will be hiking a total distance of just over 6 miles with an elevation gain of 1200 feet at a moderate pace of about 2.5 mph.  If you don't have recent D3 experience or feel that you can't keep up you might want to sit this one out.

Click here to view the route on Alltrails.

NOTE: There is a $5 parking fee required if you don't have an annual pass.  The fee can be paid ahead of time at Recreation.gov or at the visitor center.
