Itinerary:

Join me as we do a fun loop at the southern end of the BMT and AT to Long Creek Falls.

We will start at the Springer Mountain Parking area and head south on the AT to summit Springer Mountain. After the summit, we head North on the AT for a short distance to the southern terminus of the BMT. We will serpentine on the BMT, crossing the AT two times, taking in a view or two, until the two trails merge at Three Forks. After the merge, we will hike about 2 miles to Long Creek Falls where we will stop for lunch. After lunch we hop on the AT and head south to get back to our cars to complete our loop hike.

Along the way we will see nice views and a waterfall. We will be hiking beside creeks making for a beautiful afternoon on these two iconic trails. This hike is 13 miles with 2600 feet of elevation gain putting it on the lower end of the D5 spectrum.

This is a strenuous hike and recent D4/D5 experience is required to join the fun.
