Itinerary:

What better way to start the day than with some fun paddling before the summer sun starts to bake us?  We will start at Olde Rope Mill Park and venture downstream with our first stop at Toonigh Creek Falls.  After a short break we will head back out to our turn around point at a sandy beach.  We will take a short break here before heading back to our start point.  Along the way back we will veer into another cove with the potential to see some local wildlife.  

This route is in calm waters with minimal boat traffic, but we never know who we may be sharing the lake with.

Parking is free at the park.  There is about a 50 yard walk from the nearest parking/unloading area to the dock so be prepared to carry your boat.  There is an accessible EZ launch dock at our launch point.

This is Doug's 3rd event as a potential trip leader in training.  Thanks to Lisbelle for assisting and to Mark B. for allowing me to duplicate parts of his previous trip.

Set your GPS to Olde Rope Mill Park

or

1. From I-575 take exit 9 (Riverwalk Pkwy)
2. Go East on Riverwalk Pkwy
3. Take the first left at the Racetrac onto Olde Rope Mill Park Rd.
4. Continue to the end of the road.  Launch point is straight ahead.
5. If the parking area is full there is overflow parking back at the top of the hill across from the Kia dealership.
