Itinerary:

Join us for a classic AOC hike at Amicalola Falls, starting from the top of the falls. We will keep a moderate pace for this hike so we don't get too apart and we can get home for other evening activities.

This is not a beginners hike, so if you do not have D4 experience you may get a call from me or be removed from the event.

Starting at the lot at the top of the falls/steps, we will head up the Springer/AT Approach trail up up up the hill and then turn right onto the Len Foote Trail to the Hike Inn. This will be the place to have your snack or lunch before we finish the hike. Before the pandemic we could go inside and get water and eat at the tables and hopefully we can still do this depending on their current rules.. For a small tip, there are usually leftover treats to be tasted, water and lemonade.  Just in case the they do not want us to come inside, bring all that you need for your food and beverages. After a brief respite and maybe a Bio-break, we will finish the 5.5 mile hike down the Hike Inn Trail to the top of the falls.

Please arrive at top of the falls lot at 8:45am so we have time to assemble.   If you decide to park at the visitors center and do the 425 steps from the bottom of the falls, give your self time to make the long walk up (an extra mile).

Hike start - 9:00am

Hike end - 3:00pm ish
