Lets see if we can squeeze in a hike during the raindrops.
Leita Thompson is a beautiful park with just 170 feet of elevation. The trails are made of soft, small gravel and plenty wide to walk side by side with very little roots and rocks.
----Plan is to hike 2 laps but we will be passing through the parking lot after lap 1 so you can drop off if you need to. The pace is on the faster side of D2. Not a stroll but fast enough for a good workout.

There are no bathrooms, but there are three sets of porta potties throughout the park.
Please call me if you are running late 770-856-2105. Please arrive a few minutes early for check in as we will be leaving on time.
NOTE; ....I am not receiving AOC emails. Please call or text me at 770-856-2105 if you have any issues or concerns. I will be canceling if it rains so please text me or check your emails before you leave your house.
NOTE.......We are starting the hike from the overflow lot. See below for directions.
|How to Get There:|
1200 Woodstock Rd
It's best to use maps.google.com and map directions from your destination. You can go to maps.google.com and enter the bold text below in to the search bar. If you chose Satelite View, you can see a birdseye view of the parking lot.
There are 3 parking areas, the first is the dog park, the 2nd is the arts center/overflow parking lot and the third is the walking trails where you will see the green roofed pavillion. We are starting the hike at the overflow lot. If you happen to turn into the lot with the green roofed pavillion there is a small shaded gravel road on your right as soon as you turn off Woodstock Road.
