Itinerary:

This is one of my favorite easy trails close to home. Iron Hill Trail at Red Top Mountain State Park is a mixed use trail that offers hikers and mountain bikers an opportunity to just relax and enjoy the outdoors and is relatively flat. The majority of the hike follows the contour of the shoreline, allowing for plenty of views of Lake Allatoona and was once home to an active iron mining community in the mid 1800s.

All cars must have a Georgia State Park annual pass or pay $5 at the parking lot. Arrive a little early Parking can fill up, there is addtional parking towards the back of the lot.

We will meet close to the trailhead.

NOTE: There are no bathrooms in this parking lot.
