Itinerary:

On June 5,  2010, the American Hiking Society will celebrate National Trails Day®.

You are invited to participate in the Conasauga Ranger District's NTD event. We'll join up with Team Conasauga and help out with trail maintenance on the Bear Creek Trail up near Ellijay.

This celebrated day is an open invitation to all Americans to get outside and experience everything the great outdoors has to offer.  National Trails Day, the only nationwide celebration of trails, brings awareness to trails and thanks many volunteers and partners for their support and hard work.  It is also a day to give people an opportunity to give something back for the many joys and benefits trails offer.

No experience is needed, but please see the list of required items to bring and the list of recommended items listed below.

The NTD event starts at 9 am and ends at 3 pm and estimated hiking is roughly 4 miles.
