Itinerary:

This is the OVERNIGHTER
Since I live 2 hours away - and I wanted to get out there early for a Saturday hike - I opt'ing for an overnighter to prep for that...plus, I wanted to check off another event "type" off my list of to-do's! So, here we are. THUNDER ROCK Campground.
I have stayed here before and I do have a favorite site for Car Camping...perfect for an overnight before the adventurous hike Saturday AM which kicks off at 07:00. It's right on the world-famous Ocoee River - which we'll be checking out as the weekend progresses...but that's for another event! This is all about getting out there early (as your schedule allows) to get camp set up and just chill out before the weekend events.

This event is listed for 15 people - BUT, the standard sites only allow 5 occupants and 2 vehicles (additional parking near the entrance). But I will allow the AOC 15-person max group to sign up for this, so you'll need to reserve your OWN.  It's $12 a day. But if you wanted to grab up your own site feel free to do so. I am staying at site 18; sites 17 & 19 are available at this time. My brother will be on this event and he's the only other person I have at the site as we post this...so if you wanted to share the other 3 available spots at site 18....let me know at sign up - first come, first served.

Note: there is no power to these sites...site 9 is the only site with power, if you feel you needed it.

Notes:

This maybe Pt.1 of a weekend full of events, but you can cherry pick one or all of these events...you do not need to do them all...unless you want to.

Carpooling is an option if you plan to join in all the crazy things I have planned for this weekend!
