Join Tricia and I for the exiciting Providence Canyon, know as Georgia's Little Grand Canyon.  An Easy D4 in the far depths of South Georgia. This is a great hike you want to move up from a D3 hike to a D4 difficulty level.

We will start with the 7-mile Backcountry Trail Loop following the creek beds in and out of the the various canyons.  Once we have completed the Backcountry trail we will do the shorter Canyon Loop, bringing our hiking distance to around 10-12 miles depending on the number of Canyons we explore.

We MAY be stopping for dinner on the way back.  If you are interested in stopping, make sure to coordinate with others in the carpool to make sure everyone is on the same page.

Currently the Visitor Center lot is closed. If it still is we will meet in the United Methodist Church Parking lot and use the designated trail to get to the visitor center.
