Join Tricia and I for the exiciting Providence Canyon, know as Georgia's Little Grand Canyon. An Easy D4 in the far depths of South Georgia. This is a great hike you want to move up from a D3 hike to a D4 difficulty level.
We will start with the 7-mile Backcountry Trail Loop following the creek beds in and out of the the various canyons. Once we have completed the Backcountry trail we will do the shorter Canyon Loop, bringing our hiking distance to around 10-12 miles depending on the number of Canyons we explore.

Currently the Visitor Center lot is closed. If it still is we will meet in the United Methodist Church Parking lot and use the designated trail to get to the visitor center.

|Carpool Cost:||Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $107.20 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.|
Free, but there is a $5.00 parking fee per car, if you do not already have a Georgia State Park parking pass.
