Note: This is an "EXPLORATORY" trip. This means that there are parts of this trip, or perhaps the whole trip, that is new to your Trip Leader(s). However, they are confident that this will not be an issue.
This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

Zero Eight we hit the trail for a lil exploratory route along the Ocoee River - we leave right from base camp along the Rhododendron Trail (3.3 mi - plus we will check out the ruins and re-build progress of the Whitewater Center) Explore | AllTrails  and then contiune along to the Old Copper Road Trail (5.6mi) Explore | AllTrails  which just goes further along up river. The course is considered a moderate challenge, but this is not too bad. Both trails are an out & back, so I am guessing it's gonna be a breeze for most AOC'ers, the pace will be quick (you know me by now), but we'll be pausing for photos and such, so it's a death march. This is part 2 of a multi-event weekend..so stay tuned for more...because once we get back to camp, we'll have lunch and hit the river!
