Itinerary:
Kennesaw Mountain National Battefield Park is a fantastic area for intown hiking. It contains over 16 miles of trails and has many historic battle sites. It is not Just Kennesaw Mountain.Today we will be hiking the Kolb Farm loop Trail. It is a 5 mile loop on a wide fire trail, which has some inclines but is mostly flat. This trail also offers some very interesting scenery not seen in any other part of the park. Copy the link below into your browser to view a pdf of the park and trails.

Please note we will NOT be hiking up or down Kennesaw Mountain.

Although this is rated as a Moderate hike due to miles and some elevation gain, it is suitable for Beginners as we will be hiking at a slow to moderate pace, taking breaks as needed by the group.

As there are several places on the trail that are often muddy, I suggest you wear hiking boots or other footwear that you do not mind getting muddy.

We will meet at the parking area on Cheatham Hill Road @ 10am, introduce ourselves, sign the paper work and start hiking by 10:15am i hope.We may be on the trail for up to 3hrs depending on the pace and the amount of breaks needed by the group.
