Itinerary:

 

The plan is to de-stress on this afternoon, dog-friendly, moderately-paced hike on the Silver Comet Trail. The Silver Comet Trail is a rails to trails path that is paved and mostly flat. We will start our hike at the Floyd Rd parking lot. We will hike East for 2.5 miles through a short tunnel, across a bridge over Nickajack Creek, and across the bridge over the East West Connector. Once we reach the 2.5-mile mark we will turn around and head back. On the return we will take a short side trail down to the ruins of the Concord Woolen Mills.
