Itinerary:

We are hiking on the Benton McKaye (and DRT) from Hwy 60 to Wallhallah Mountain and then return to Hwy 60.  This is a total of 4 miles.  We will then cross Hwy 60 to continue the hike to the swinging suspension bridge on the Toccoa River.  We will then return the way we came for a total of 7.2 miles.  The entire hike is 11.2 miles.  This is a difficult, strenuous hike.  Elevation gain 3000'.

The pace for this event is moderate, not fast.  If you are looking to go 'fitness fast', this event is not for you.

Hey, if you've not completed a recent D4 or higher, please send the trip leaders information on your recent hiking experiences (trail name, distance, date, pace), this will enable us to ensure group safety.  If I don't get an email from you shortly after your signup, I will move you to the waitlist.
