Itinerary:

This hike begins at the Woody Gap trailhead on Hwy 60 and starts with a 550+ foot climb up to Big Cedar Mountain. We will continue to follow the ridgeline down to Jarrard Gap where we will break for lunch and regroup. On the way back we will take a side trip up to Preaching Rock where the view is spectacular and well worth the trip.

At this time of year the mountain views on both sides of the trail make this hike.

Total elevation around 2300'.

Please arrive a few minutes early for intro's.  Hiking starts promptly at 9:30AM.

Pace is around 2.3 on uphill and closer to 2.8 on downhill.
