Itinerary:
Looking to a nice local hike on Sunday but wanting to sleep in?  Join us at 1 PM on this section of Chattahoochee NRA. Due to high demand we have created a section of this hike. We will start a few minutes apart and take seperate paths on the many interconnecting trails.

The Vickery Creek section of the Chattahooche National Recreation Area contains many miles of interconnected hiking trails. Our plan is to hike four to six miles of these trails including visting the old dam on Big Creek.

Please remember to bring $3 for the National Park Service parking fee, unless you have a Chattahoochee NRA annual pass. You can also park accross the street and meet us in the Vickery Creek parkling lot to save the three dollar fee. With two groups and limited parking, those without and annual pass may want to park at Riverside park.

If you bring your dog, it should be able to keep up with the group and interact well with other dogs and people. The Chattahooche NRA requires that owners clean up after their pets on the trails and they should be leashed. A maximum of three dogs will be permitted on this hike.

Required Items to Bring:
Shoes you can hike in
Water bottle
Clothing appropriate for weather conditions
You should be OK without hiking boots on these trails
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Trail Snacks
Camera
Drink such as Gatorade
