Itinerary:
Lake Charlotte nature preserve is one of the lucky green spaces in the city of Atlanta that was spared from developers. It was also spared from becoming a landfill at one time. In the early 1900s, there was a small Lakeside community that lived here. The remains of the homes; Chimneys, foundations Can still be seen. The lake has since been drained. Beautiful tall oak, beech, and other trees are alive and well throughout the space. We will take a leisurely walk through the area. Probably will be less than 3 miles. We will meet in front of the lake Charlotte nature preserve sign near the parking lot.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:From Atlanta downtown, 75, 85 S. Exit I 20 east Exit Moreland Ave., South. Right on S. River Industrial Blvd., Southeast left on Forest Park Rd., Southeast. Left at lake Charlotte nature preserve.
