Located on the western edge of Lookout Mountain, this is one of the most scenic parks in the state, offering rugged geology and beautiful vistas. The park straddles a deep gorge cut into the mountain by Sitton Gulch Creek, and elevation differs from 800 to 1,980 feet. The most spectacular view into the canyon is found near the picnic area parking lot; however, additional views can be found along the rim trail. We will be camping in the walk in camp area which has comfort stations and showers. We will use three or four sites depending on group make up. Each site allows a maximum of two tents and 6 people. The cost is $12 per camp site so about $6 each plus parking.

Bring lunch and dinner for Saturday night, breakfast for Sunday and lunch/trail snacks. There are several senic hiking trails to choose from on Saturday including some freat waterfalls. Of special interest; the Park supervisor wans us to take photos for her contest. she needs them for making postcards and is offering a $280 prize package for the best one and is doing this for all 4 seasons.
