Itinerary:

Ok folks,  time to do some spring backpacking.  So I figured why not do it with some great views.  The Gahuti trail came to mind since so many people tell me it is a nice trail and I myself have not done it.

So lets met at the carpool.  Get up there and to the park office to get our backcountry permit and backpack to camp.

I have reserved campsite # 3 which is approximately 5 miles into this 8.8 mile loop hike.  The name of this campsite is "Moonshine"  and is located within 150 yards of a water source.

From there we will settle in for the night around the campfire and  just relax by the fire.

Once we wake up the next morning we will break camp whenever we feel like and then finish the last 3+ miles to our vehicles and depart for Atlanta.

Caution- Most of you already know this but in case some of you do not know... I am a slow hiker and if you wish to go fast I am ok with that.  That being said I will not tolerate anyone who wishes to push the whole group or indivduals to go beyond what they are comfortable going.  Everyone hikes there own hike.

Dogs are permitted but under your control and you must obey park rules and be responsible for your dog.
