Itinerary:

Hi, if you're interested, we plan on hiking a little over 8 miles, with about a 1616' ascent this Thursday if the weather is appropriate. We'll hike up Slaughter Creek, turn left on the A.T. and summit Blood Mountain where we'll eat lunch and enjoy the views for a bit. On the return, we'll go back the Jarrard Gap trail.

When we get back to Lake Winfield Scott, Suzi has agreed to lead a short yoga session, as she did for us recently in the Alps! It was a real bonus to our strenuous hiking up there. It of course helps with recovery time as well, for those unaware. She is a certified yoga instructor, so this will be a treat if you're open to yoga.

Also at the lake, you can swim for a bit, and take a hot shower before hitting the road.

Please Note: There is $5.00 parking Fee at Lake WinField. If you have an interagency pass, the fee is $2.50. (per vehicle).
