Itinerary:

Join me as we explore the Jacks River from the western trailhead to the Falls. Leave your boots at home and prepare to get wet!

This out and back hike will be the perfect recipe for a hot summer day... 22 river crossings of the cool, clear Jacks river culminating in a quick swim at the falls. We will be moving at a brisk pace, when the trail allows, and slow down for the sometimes slippery river crossings and blowdowns.  Be sure to wear shoes that you will be comfortable hiking in wet all day.  We will not be stopping to change shoes at the river crossings. We will eat lunch at the falls. You will get very wet on this hike.

This is a difficult, wilderness hike. Recent D5 experience is required to join the fun. If your experience is outside of the club, please email me with your hiking experience.

For the safety of the group, the river water level should be below 250 CF/sec for an enjoyable hike.
